Update 12 April 2022

Dear Purple Ball Supporter

As you will be aware we had planned to host this years Ball on the 21st May at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow.  Unfortunately we had taken the decision to cancel this date and look for a more suitable one.  The reason for this decision is that it clashed with the Scottish FA Cup Final which was being attended by some of our key supporters and sponsors, which was having an impact on our sales in an already fragile event and fundraising market.

I want to offer my sincere apologies as I thought that this had already been communicated to you all via our new booking system.

We are still very much committed to having the Ball or another fundraising event this year and hope to secure a date for later in the summer / early autumn.  As soon as I have this secured you will all be the first to know.

We remain very excited about returning to the Crowne Plaza and have already secured our date for 2023.

Again apologies and I hope to see you all soon, raising money and awareness for an amazing cause.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate in dropping me an email.

As always #LoveYourKidneys

So why is supporting kidney research so important? Well over 3 million people in the UK are affected by Kidney Disease and 9 out of 10 people on the UK National Donor List are waiting for a kidney - thats why! Kidney Research UK has been making tangible differences to the lives of thousands of people across Scotland for a number of years but still needs our help. Kidney Research UK is the leading national charity dedicated to research that will lead to better treatments and cures for those suffering with kidney disease and to build a lasting legacy through research for those who have already lost that battle like Maggie Maguire and the thousands more loved ones.
